SELLING

Sell your business privately, to the right buyer.

Selling well is mostly preparation: knowing what the business is worth and to whom, getting the numbers straight, and running a process that holds together through due diligence.

Owner-led businesses with something a buyer can keep.

WHO THIS IS FOR

The businesses that sell well have profit that can be evidenced, revenue that repeats, customers that stay when the owner leaves, and a sector where acquirers are active. Most of our work is with companies between £1m and £10m of enterprise value in fire and security, lifts, water hygiene, electrical compliance and related services.

If your business is smaller, earlier, or more dependent on you than that, the readiness check will say so, and we will tell you what to do about it.

We do not send your business to hundreds of buyers. We send it to the ten who should own it.

We tell you the truth about value

Value is a range, set by the buyers who exist for your business, not a multiple picked from a chart. We show you the range and the reasons before you sign anything.

We decline what we can't sell

We do not take a mandate unless we can see who would buy the business. A signed mandate with no buyers is a waste of your time and ours.

We prepare, then approach

Buyers make decisions on the pack. We finish it before anyone is contacted, so the first impression is the best one.

How we charge.

FEES

AssessmentFree.
Listing or monthly feesNone. We do not charge to sign you up and there is nothing to pay while we work.
Preparation feeFrom £5,000, agreed before you sign. Nothing is paid on signature; the fee is due when we deliver the transaction pack. Credited in full against the success fee on completion.
Success feeA percentage of the sale value, agreed in the engagement letter with a minimum. Paid on completion, from proceeds.
ExclusivityA defined period agreed in the engagement letter, with a tail for buyers we introduce.

We put the percentage and the minimum in writing before you sign, and we never take an undisclosed fee from the buyer on the same deal. If a buyer is paying us for anything, you will know in advance. More on fees, tax and process in our answers for owners.
